The truck/Yukon coils with the small heat sink on the back of them are the best. They are the D585 coils. Read this article and watch the video.

So, somewhere around 700-720 RWHP. I would upgrade to the truck ones, but wont be a big deal if you stick to the stock ones, even at that point.
I know of a few turbo setups that use the truck ones, for better spark, but also a few that also run the stock ones, without issues.
MSD coils had a bad rep when they first came out years ago. I don't know if these issues were addressed, you'll have do a search on them.
IMO, this would be the very last change/upgrade that I would make, as I believe the $ could be better spent somewhere else, especially since any changes or gains are questionable. Good luck.

Is that just a little overkill or really not something worth doing for an N/A engine?
Looks like the truck coils are the way to go just for that little extra, but it would be nice to have a more powerful spark too.

How about something that provides a more powerful spark? I read something a couple weeks ago about having a more powerful spark, allowing for a wider gap on the spark plugs for a larger spark, for better burn when it fires.

FWIW ... I made over 900FWHP with my NA 436 using stock LS7 coils with out any issues. The engine turns well over 9000RPM and doesnt miss a beat. I DO NOT use factory cam & crank sensors due to the RPM but he coils work flawlessly.
