Default 6.0L Gen IV iron block, part number?

I know the Gen III part numbers, but am looking for the Gen IV part number. I assume there is a difference in the blocks?

Please classify a Gen IV iron block for me. All the new GMPP bare 6.0 iron blocks do use the same length head bolts like the LS2 blocks and up, but they still use the center bosses for the knock sensors and the rear cam pickup.

Well, that is actually what I was trying to figure out. What is the difference? I have seen vendors advertising the use of an LQ4/LQ9 block in a shortblock kit, for example, then offering to upgrade it to a Gen IV iron block for $XXX. I didn't know there were different versions. I am about to build a stroker 6.0L iron engine and want to make sure I get the right block for my application.

To my knowledge there is no 6.0l cast iron block that does not have the cam pickup at the back of the block. This (in my eyes) still categorizes it as a GenIII. I just opened up one of the GMPP bare blocks and it still has the knock sensor locations in the middle of the valley, the side bosses are not drilled, and it still has the cam pickup in the back. I bet that the block on that ebay ad is a 5.3l. The newer ones use the AFM/DOD and have the front pickup and, as of today, are roughly half and half with iron and alum. GM does not part number alot of the blocks that they have. BUT a casting number would be nice.

The LY6 is a 6.0L Gen IV iron block with side mounted knock sensors and VVT.

The block in the E-bay link is a LY6. And is cast 6.0L IV
