Default Coilpacks/brackets interchangeability

I am building an LS7 to replace my 6.0 LQ4 and I plan to grab some new valve covers.

Id like to re-use my coilpacks and brackets but im not sure if they will fit LS7 valve covers. Anyone know?

Im also considering running the LS7 coilpack covers and thats part of the reason I might get LS7 valve covers.

Thanks

All coil packs bolt to the same 5 bolts that are common to all 99+ LS engines. The bracket just moves the coils around and has the correct bolt pattern for the coils themselves.

The coil packs on the 98 LS1 are different? Pictures of the 99+ coilpacks?

98 had the perimeter bolt valve covers and they only coil pack bracket that I know of that mounts to the 98 is the LS1 style coil packs...There are 5 different styles of coil packs... The only two coil packs that interchange mounting brackets that I know of are the LS2/LS7 style cylinder non heat sink coils..( can't remember part number of the top of my head) and the the LS2/3/7/9 coil packs that are flat and sqaure the other 3 style coil packs have a specific mounting bracket but they all mount to 99+ valve covers...

Alright, so for my 98, I've just got to use the coil packs I've got. The 99+ coil packs aren't swappable?
