Default LS3 427 stroker & FI??

hey guys i was wondering if someone could share some advice/knowledge with me.

i was thinking about going with a this setup in a 99 T/A

Forged LS3 427ci Stroker
FAST LSXr 102 intake/Nick Williams 102 TB
Vengeance Racing Stage II LS3 cam 227/239 .617/.624 115+3
SDPC CNC LS3 heads
American Racing 1 7/8x3 LongTubes
X-Pipe 3x3 no cats
Borla Exhaust
D1SC setup
Meth Injection

any idea on what this setup would make to the wheels? & would the engine being stroked like that be reliable with the supercharger? ive heard mixed responses from local people about the LS3 being stroked to 427ci wouldnt hold up to the power adders (turbo, s/c, n20)

so could someone make a guess what that setup would make RWHP & if it would do it reliably?

I've always heard a Forged LS3 427ci Stroker is no good for boost. Something about the short piston skirts and pistons comming to far out of the bore at BDC.. 416ci would be a better choice..416 with that setup should do 850rwhp easy..Main limiting factor is the D1SC..Put an F1 on there and make 900rwhp or more..

so the 416ci would hold up to the D1SC reliably? what kind of heads would be good to go with? im not real familiar with which heads are good to go with on that kind of engine setup. could someone help me out on that part?

take your pick...just depends on your HP goals.. any CNC LS3 or cnc LS1/6 heads if you keep the boost in reason say 10psi or less will get you to 750-800rwhp. More than that and you will want an aftermarket casting for a thicker deck like TrickFlow or PRC. The aftermarket castings will handle more boost without the chance of lifting heads...For a reliable setup go with a 416ci, around 9.7:1 compression, meth inj for safety, a LS3 cnc head(PRC or SDPC), LS3 intake and 90mm throttle body(FAST not needed), keep the boost mild at 10psi and you'll make 750-800rwhp..

dang! i didnt realize it'd make that much haha! but thats great! thanks for the info guys. and would it not gain much from going with a 102 intake/tb combo over the 90mm?

it may add 15-20rwhp, but its not worth the $$, cheaper just to up the boost 1-2psi if you want more HP

Once you start pushing boost through an intake, as long as its a decent design, it will make good power..Everyone made fun of me for putting a Weiand metal intake on my car with a 78mm throttle body and said it would never make the power...They all **** themselves when I made the first full pull and the tuner said I pulled 800rwhp.. Boost does wonders.. 18psi on my little 346ci motor..made 700rwhp at 13.5 psi

I get that alot from the local guys. I use to do alot of side jobs, engines and paint, but now I just don't have enough free time as it is..Between the wife and kids and trying to build my Factory Five GTM, I'm just too busy..In a few years I will install a lift and build a paint booth in my shop at home when I finish the GTM and have more free time..Thats the plan at least..
