Default Best Intake for LSX 454 N/A

Hi All,

Just after some advice on the best intake for a LSX 454 N/A with 11.8:1 compression and ported heads. This is in a Holden VE SS UTE that had DBW TB.

Cheers

Fast 102 LSXrt, you should have the room for the extra height but not sure. Way more power than the LSXr

Do you have proof of this?

That article has nothing to do with the LSXR vs the LSXRT.

As far as Tony, I assume you mean Mamo. There was a thread about this debate but nothing came of it. Couple of guys were going to test the RT vs the r, but they got butthurt and wont post the results.

I you have some graphs off the RT vs the R on a NA motor that would be awesome. I know it will make more low and mid range, but can it keep up with or beat the LSXR after 5k rpms?

I have had a look at the LSXrt, and they're really ugly intake, i wouldn't put one of them on my ute, lus they say for LS1-LS6, the LSX use LS7 style heads.

I have looked at kinsler for some time, nice intakes, but I think they are all for cable throttle, mine is DBW, plus they're expensive, but I have left an email for them to see what they do. I have spent $$$$$ on the engine, why skimp on an intake.

The ute is used for street, strip and shows, but also want it to be something different to most out there. So with the FAST LSXrt, it would look stupid in my opinion. And if I think that, then I am sure other that are looking at it in shows, would be thinking the same,

Have you considered a nice sheet metal piece? Marcella? Priced in between FAST and Kinsler.
