Default Any ideas on what I might run?

I've never run my car at a track, so I'm curios, what do you guys think I could expect to be able to pull off with this?

2002 Z28 A4 with 2.73 gears

Mods: k&N cold air intake, Magnaflow cat-back system, shift kit, handheld tune from Superchips

Also, do you think that long-tube headers would help very much in this area?

I would appreciate any opinions.

Shift kit, no stall? Low 13s. Yes, LTs will help. LS6 or FAST intake, ported throttle body, and sticky tires would be good ideas too.

Edit: Oh, and a stall. Get one, it'll bring some life into your A4

Wouldn't that wreak havoc on the car's drivability and gas mileage though? The stall converter I mean.

Gas mileage, yes. Drivability, not so much. But your car will limp off the line pretty badly until you get one.

An auto does almost all the work for you, but it has to be told what to do. You use things like stalls and tuning to do this. However, you can't just change stalls on the fly like you can change shifting methods in a manual. So in an auto more than a manual, you've got to decide what's most important to you. Economy and performance are difficult to have at the same time.

All the stuff I listed above are just bolt-ons, and generally the stuff you do first to an engine because it makes the later mods that much more effective. If you want some cheap power though, a nice baby cam setup is great and can be had for ~300. That hurts gas mileage too, of course

By the way, seeing as your car has an LS1, which is a gen III engine, you might get more help in gen III engine exterior mods. Although, of you're just asking for times, there's a section somewhere for bench racing
