Default Is it worth it?

Selling my ls1 and going to build a pretty stout 6.0 402 stroker. I currently have pacesetter lt headers that are 1 3/4". Would it be worth to upgrade to the stainless steel tsp lt headers that are 1 7/8"? Thanks

Jordan

Just my opionion...
I think you'll see gains wih the 7/8's over the 3/4's with that much more cubes but not much. I thought about the 7/8s but sticking with my 3/4s for now.

Did you look at the pictures of the headers? Those brand 1 7/8" look almost like shorties as mentioned by later posters in that thread.

The TSP 1 7/8" are quality longtube headers. They also have back to back tests showing them picking up ~8hp on a stock internal ls1 (IIRC).

Its definitely not a bad idea, but it really comes down to what your future plans are with the car and if your trying to get every last bit of power possible out of it. The 1 3/4s you currently have will work fine, but if they are starting to get in bad shape or you just feel like upgrading this would be a great time to do it. Our 1 7/8s headers will outperform, outlast, and look better for much much longer than the current headers you have now will. Just something to think about. Feel free to give us a call anytime we are happy to help you.
