How big a difference will this be...
Changing from 2800-3200 stall(not completely sure what it is, can foot brake to 2000 rpm) to a yank ss4000. Changing from old SLP long tube and catted y to TSP 1-7/8" and off road y.
I am sure the car will feel different just from the stall. Wondering how much quicker you guys think this change will be. And will it be louder.
Thanks.

What 60' were you cutting before? That SS4k should get you in the 1.4x dead hooking in good air. You probably won't gain much from just the header swap but the complete header/Y pipe change might net you 15-20hp depending if the rest of the exhaust is free flowing enough. If it were me I would skip the header change and look at having a 3" dual exhaust built OR put cutouts behind each collector.

Honestly, i haven't been to the track yet eith this car. I have just done a little "from a roll" racing with a co-worker that has a 2012 Grand Sport Vette. He just slightly creeps on me from the hit. Wondering if this will make enough difference to show him some tail lights.
I bought the car the way it sits, with the exception of eliminating the smog setup. It has 3.73s, lid, ported stock maf and tb, the slp headers and cats, random tech cb, small stall and a cam of unknown values. I did a little work with the shift points and the car responds better now. Future plans are a rebuild with the addition of some ported 243s and cam swap depending on whats in it now.

Well, I guess we will see. I realise the 60' will improve with traction. Wondering how much the top end will improve. I can only footbrake the current convertor to 2000 rpm before the rears start moving. So not real sure what size the stall is.
