Default 5.3 throttle body 90mm upgrade

Hey guys I am new here, just starting to upgrade my 2007 silverado 5.3 and was wandering if anybody knows what part no. I need to upgrade to a 90mm throttle body? I have found different ones, just want to make sure I get the one that will work with fewest mods.

If your intake is made for the three bolt throttle body, you can't bolt a 90MM throttle body to it. You can, however, bolt an 85MM throttle body to it. The are three bolt. 90MM throttle bodies are 4 bolt. To put a 90MM on it, you would have to upgrade to the LSXRT intake.

They do make 90mm 3 bolt throttle bodies.

However...

You will see no increase unless your current size tb is choking your setup.

I do realize that a larger tb won't make a difference right now. I read that some of the gen 4 ls engines such as the 6.2 has a 90mm tb that would bolt up and wiring for fbw would work also on my gen4 5.3. This would make a cheaper alternative than the aftermarket ones that are way overpriced. Was just wandering if anyone knew the GM part no. I need. There are many more mods on the way; cam, headers, intake, injectors and tune.

Well you did not say if had classic or nnbs. I'm going to assume you have classic. All you have to is get a new body style intake assembly ,rails and tb. The nnbs tb is 87 mm and you will also need X-link which is about $240. IIRC the TBSS and Corvette had 90mm.

You will need an intake designed for a larger tb as well. You can't just bolt a 90 mm tb on a smaller opening and expect it to help.
