Default LS3 vacuum leak??

Long time lurker; first post - hello!

I recently installed a new LS3 crate engine into a kit car I'm building. The engine is completely stock except I had to reverse the intake manifold to fit under the hood.

When the start button was pushed, the engine immediately turned over and fired up. This was accompanied by a loud pop coming out of the right side exhaust. The engine then ran smoothly for 4-5 seconds before sputtering out. I do not have access to my code reader, but think there is a vacuum leak.

Is this a common problem? Must I replace the intake manifold gaskets? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!
Mike
