Default LS3 GMPP intake vs. FAST vs. ???

I picked up a nice head and intake package that includes a GM 25534416 (which is 25534401 but with injector bosses machined). Look like nice parts, will be excited to go back to stock type pedal, linkage, 4bbl throttle body and nitrous plate, and good old fashioned air cleaner in my Chevelle.

..question is, am I leaving power on the table versus FAST102 style intake, comparable Edelbrock single plane EFI intake, and/or others?? I run a pretty healthy converter, so other than idle quality, I'm not particularly concerned about performance below say 3500rpm.

In throttle body department, I would use a 4150 4bbl style throttle body from Holley/Accufab/other, so I think CFM wise I would be ballpark with my current ported 90mm DBW throttle body (1000-1100cfm).

Thanks in advance,
TJ

more top end power with a single plane style vs a fast style. youll lose some low end with that style. but it all depends on what you do with the cam since the single plane will make more power with a custom camshaft designed for a single plane.

thanks for the response. I've got one call in for a cam recommendation to Brian Tooley right now, planning give Pat G. and maybe this Ed Curtis fellow later this week. They probably won't be thrilled for me to compare notes between them, guess we'll see. If their suggestions are similar, it would make me feel better..

Only recently have I heard of that Billy Briggs cat in your signature. Our local chassis dyno guy is really high on him. May drop him a line also if he does phone service cam recommendations
