I got a pair of 3" v-band assemblies from theboostdepot.com after coming across good reviews on the yellowbullet forum. These are nickel plated mild steel flanges with stainless steel v-bands. They have a male & female half that nest nicely to keep them centered and improve the seal.

I ended up with these. They sent me stainless, so i got a half refund and kept them.

I like the overlap.
