Default Some square port heads sitting around the shop

I posted this in the Gen 3 section as it had some Gen 3 material in it, but for those that don't wander over to that side of the board here it is for you square port lovers.

Mast medium bore 256cc cylinder heads. They utilize a 2.165" intake valve and a 1.600" exhaust. I'll include flow numbers from the Mast website below the pictures.

Flow Data w/4.000" Bore Plate
Lift Intake Exhaust
0.100 74 61
0.200 146 119
0.300 222 188
0.400 282 219
0.500 330 236
0.600 360 251
0.700 372 260

Ai 280cc LSA castings(mine):

Cross sectional area comparison. 280cc, 232cc, 215cc

Cross sectional area comparison. 90cc, 80cc, 80cc

I'll get a CSA comparison of the 256cc intake port and the 280cc intake port later this evening. It is interesting to see the size difference between the ports as that is something most people don't ever get to compare. We also have some 280cc LS3's here I'll snap some pictures of later this evening as well. For now...enjoy!

A buddy has a pump gas 408 with those heads and makes 680ish at the crank if I remember right.

That's pretty stout for a 408 on pump gas.

Nice heads!
I would have to agree, 680hp on a 408cid is a really "stout" build.

Pretty crazy numbers for a 408ci. Have any more info about his setup?
