Default lq9/l92 heads?

new to the the ls game. tried searching for direct info but haven't found it yet. so i was hoping that some one on here could lend a hand. 2002 lq9 escalade motor and wanting to run some l92 heads. so my question is what l92 heads do i have to get and work needs to be done to them to be 11.1 cr?? any help would be great thanks.

l92 heads are casting numbers 5364 on truck motors. l92 or l76 heads are casting number 0823 on car motors. ls3 heads are 0821 on car motors. ls3 heads come with lighter hollow stem intake valves and sodium exhaust valves. you can mill them .030 or .035 to achieve 11:1 cr or better yet mill .015 and use cometic .040 gaskets which will help with quench and help prevent detonation and still achieve 11:1.

And is there anything that you recommend me doing to the heads before installing them as far as porting them and so fourth.

The castings are the same, it's the Valves...the car castings will have the lighter Valves as mentioned.

You can port them, they do flow alot tho.

whats a good price on the heads? well my project is a monte carlo, I did the lt1 swap already but now wanting to go ls here a picture of it now
