Default Carbon Fiber Valve Covers

Check 'em out. We've got these in stock and ready to ship. These are very sturdy, very well made covers. They look great and they should hold up well. They are available with the oil fill hole/cap and without.

The coil brackets are sold separately.

$429 for the covers. $149 for the optional coil brackets.

Covers without fill hole:

Covers with oil fill hole:

We have brackets in two sizes, the LS1/6 coils and the other is for the LS2/7 coils. I don't know bolt spacing measurements.

Much better design from the Katech ones. Bought two sets of those for a god awful price and they warped, but katech stated i over torqued them, which i didnt so now they collect dust in my junk pile...

I missed out on these but got another style without the coil bracket

So far no issues!

I hate to hear of those issues with other covers in the past, we've seen them on other covers in the past as well

Carbon is very pretty and in lots of instances, very durable and strong. But, it is not meant to be made into valve covers and torqued down on with that much force. 99% of the time they leak from having to retorque them because they loosen so much from the vibration of the engine. Because carbon fiber does flex some, remember it is a fiber, the mass isn't spread evenly at the same time by torquing down one bolt at a time. The force from torquing down a steel or aluminum vavle cover isn't as easily absorbed, because steel and aluminum doesn't flex as easy. I'm no brainiac nor professional. Just a guy with a little, I repeat...a little common sense and an even smaller amount of car knowlegde. LOL!! Just my opinion!! Although, Scoggon Dickey is not the maker of these, so don't knock them if they don't work. I do wish Scoggin Dickey much success on these though. The same holds true for carbon fiber wheels, hoods, etc. Why do you think most of the carbon fiber hoods and deck lids don't fit well? It's not only do to the construction, but also the fact of the way it bolts down, etc. Carbon wheels, aside from the fact that they cost an arm and a leg, would be the same.

I appreciate your concern, but you should look over the product in question before making a post like this. These covers have metal framework for support, and you are actually bolting against that, not the carbon fiber.

We got in trouble for advertising them too low and were forced to change it. Call me and I'll honor the $429 price.
