I'd love to see a dyno graph comparison of the short vs long runner and how much power is lost/gained and where

The Vararam intake is also on the horizon. It should be interesting as well. Lot's of good things happening on the LSX intakes for 2015.

those modular in plenum runners sure do take up alot of room.

If you look at the medium or HP runners in the photos posted
They are laid down at a flatter angle so they fit under the cover.
The Race runners being shorter are able to stand up taller.
I plan to test all three on my Engine build, hopefully by the end of
March 2015.
kinda, the curve dose add up to the average,so dont let the "tall" fool you, they are tall but no curve. you can see the back of the valve
I've never measure or seen the new runners at all. Just saying the old LSXR, the short and long side of the curve is a big difference think its like 2inch. Thouse new mid still have some curve it looks like, that will average in but looked at how close they are to the intake bolts looks like there about a 3/4-1inch shorter then the rt

Does anyone know if these will fit the truck style intakes, or will they also make these runners for the truck style intake? Bigger Plenum volume couldn't hurt with these newer runners.

Yes they will fit the LSXrt intakes. That's going to be an awesome combo!

Since they don't make a rectangle port truck intake would it be possible to use a ls3 lower half with the truck upper half and the mid length runners.

If I remember correctly, the FAST rep said the short runners will be for people running over 7,000RPM, and the medium runners will be best for those running over 6,000RPM.

It also looks like the new runners will line up to the rest of the intake and not need as much port matching as the current 102 runners do.

Short and Medium length new runners from FAST.

Clean runners out of the box?!

So if I wait, I can buy the FAST 102 with the medium length runners as one unit? I know existing FAST owners will have the option to swap to the new runners by simply purchasing the runners, but I just want to make sure you can buy the new FAST 102 with any runner length configuration.

Interesting. I bet you could order that setup from FAST for those of us with enough hood clearance. Thank you for the idea.

I still think that the MSD intake, with it's larger plenum volume, along with it's straight runners, will perform better than the FAST overall. Granted, the FAST with the short runners might pull away above 5500rpm, but it'll suffer at lower rpms, at least that's what I think, dyno results may prove me wrong.

Yep the MSD plenum looks larger. Similar to the mid length Fast.
Jason at Lingenfelter said don't buy into the marketing hype too much, but said the MSD gained across the curve over the old Fast. Will be interesting to see if the mid length fast or MSD take the pole position.

Last conversation with FAST (tech-line) 2 weeks ago the word was
Summer, don't know if that's June or September.

I'd like to see the FAST medium runner manifold. Sure seems like it takes a long time to manufacture plastic parts! Must be on a slow boat from China!

The MSD intake is finally available.

My apologies!
I spoke with someone on the FAST techline early July and he said the
modular runners were delayed indefinitely, with NO time line for sale/release.
That BITES really HARD!
Waiting on the VARARAM VRX
(they are waiting on there product patent)
