LS2 swap into a 2001 Silverado. Suggestions?
Hi guys, new to the forum.
Have a customer who wants to put a 2006 corvette LS2 into his 2001 silverado. He does not have a harness or pcm with it. He also wants to keep gauges, CC, AC, etc.. Just swap the engine. I've only worked with genIV and earlier so I'm unfamiliar with this engine. I know its 58x, connectors are different, knock sensors, etc.. but I believe his 0411 can handle it in DBC configuration.
My thoughts are to use a 58x to 24x converter from Lingenfelter, get a DBC throttle body, use a LS1 or 6.0 DBC base tune and edit spark, fuel and air tables from the E38 tune, alter the harness layout and keep PCM and Fuse box in stock locations.
Thoughts? Are there are builds like this I can read up on? Is there a source for conversion parts/connectors?
Thanks
Chris

Use the lingenfelter converter and use the PCM and harness the truck has absolutely no reason to change to newer pcm.
Drill the block and install the trucks existing knock sensors on the side of block use the search and you'll find all info on doing it.
Depending on what heads the motor has you can use the existing truck intake and swap injectors or stock injectors will probably be ok depending on your mods.
If it has square port heads use a NNBS truck intake with rails and injectors and a aftermarket cable TB
Install everything off the truck and hit the highway no need to overcomplicate it.
