Default Intake help

I am building a NA 408 for nitrous, I am planning on LS3 heads with upgraded springs and a custom ground cam. This will be going into a 2003 Silverado with a race weight of between 4500-5000lbs, it will be a bracket racer but will be driven 1.5 hours to the track.

I am trying to figure out what intake manifold to use, I have heard with the high ram intakes you can lose low end torque which I will need to get the truck moving. Any thoughts or advice would be great, I know this is not a truck site but thought there might still be some here that have worked with heavier combos.
