Default Gen IV 5.3 with stock gen v pistons

Hey guys I'm putting together a 05 5.3 to put into a ws6. I wanted to see if anyone new the difference between the two pistons. I know the gen v are flat tops with valve reliefs and the gen iv are dish tops. Do they use the same floating ls2 rod and are the wrist pins the same diameter. Also will there be any difference in piston to valve clearance??? Thanks for any info

I would google the gen V pistons, seems like they are specifically made for direct
injection, don't know if it would matter.

Pretty sure they are different than Gen IV pistons and the rods are not the same.

The gen 5 rods on the 5.3 are the same part number as the gen 4. Check out the gen v Part of ls1 tech

The Gen IV 5.3 pistons are flattop. The Gen III 5.3 pistons are dished.
