Default manifold for a 454ci

Guys I need to decide on a manifold for this engine. I was thinking Edelbrock or Sheetmetal. I am in need of a recommendation. I was thinking Edelbrock jr. but I am worried it will choke the 454ci motor..any sheetmetal intakes out there under 2 grand?

If you hogged out a Vic JR intake enough for 255cc heads, I'm not certain there would be any aluminum left. I also think you would need a serious "buddy" hookup to find a sheetmetal intake for much under 3k. I doubt you will get a lot of responses here, as this question should really be in the external engine forum.

beck sheetmetal intakes run 2400 with rails and what not. they are a very nice piece and if you send him your cylinder heads he will port match your intake to them

good luck

Ported fast intakes with cathedral heads are doing 600+ rwhp. no need for a sheetmetal IMO.

I say the Beck w/our 100mm billet TB....awesome power combo on big cubes.

The valve covers are GMPP parts. We have a set in stock if you want. Call JP: 813-628-0080

Ive tried them all!!!! You well end up going back to a Fast 90/90 combo. It really is the best intake manifold for any cathedral port head. The Victor Jr. would only be a CONSIDERATION if your planning on doing a direct port or a carb plate setup. But as far as N/A goes....FAST for the win!!!
