Default LX CNC LS7 style manifold by Performance Induction

New pics posted of our CNC ported two piece LS7 style race intake manifold.
http://photobucket.com/Performance-I...C-Manifold-LS7
These manifolds are avalible for LS7/C5R/ ETP Canted Valve and ETP C5X.

We have also purchased and taken over operations of the complete ETP 11 degree cylinder head product line for the LS engines from ET Performance. They will now be marketed under our trade name LX Racing Products. Avalible will be cathederal port, LS7, C5R, and a new design race cylinder head to replace previous canted valve design. We offer intake and cylinder head packages as well as valve covers and other LS engine accesories. Our website will be complete just before Christmas time and will be much more informative. As of now, it is a contact and order page until we have our e-commerce and tech page ready. We will be ready to fill cylinder head orders as soon as Jan 15, 2009. We are producing cylinder head castings at this time and will be in production through the holidays. Manifolds are in production at this time and were seen on quite a few cars at the LSX Shootout including Paul Major and the RPM nos ride.

Intake manifold prices will be up on the site too with options. We have been working real hard to complete the L-92 version of this manifold too. We have been real busy setting up shop in our new facility, so the earlier projected dates I one spoke of in some earlier posts, have been delayed to late January. For anybody who is interested in the L-92 version right now, we can make them from our existing castings, but will carry a premium because we have to remove the flange and replace it with a billet piece and weld it on. They will look good though as they will be welded by Marcella manifolds.

I look forward to any questions or comments.

Thanks
Cary Chouinard

Ed,

I am working on those issues right now. I have to do what is right for both my company and those dealers who supported ETP/myself through all the hard times. It will take a lot of effort to get caught up on all of our current and back orders. I have a complete list of dealers/orders from them and will be going through them one at a time to fulfill previous obligations. Our number one goal is not to get into a situation that ET once had. We will do our best to stay on top of delivery times and customer service. ET is still in business and I will do my best to support them as well.

Thanks,
Cary

Cary,
Thanks man, Shawn and I have been debating on a sheetmetal intake or yours. Marcella speaks very highly about the intake.

It's really good to know you are going to produce the LS stuff again. I was wondering what you guys were up to. I saw John was doing the manifolds. Are the old cast / CNC intake manifolds that ET sold still available? The one like Paul Major was running? There was a thread on here a while ago about them, but it got deleted. I have pictures if you're memory would like some refreshing.

Received my manifold last week. I live in the heart of high dollar Sprint car country. One of the areas best builders saw the intake and labled it as the best he'd ever seen. We'll see how well it performs soon.

that was never ETP's manifold. It was always my part. Yes it did get deleted. But it is the same manifold that I have posted. We have plenty of them.

Jon, I am glad you were happy with your manifold. From the results I have seen, there is not much of a place for a sheetmetal anymore unless you run twin top mounted throttle bodies.

Seeing as how we're getting up to big-block size displacement (454 specifically), anything in the works for a dual carb setup?

BTW, i have absolutely no use for the intake, but looking at the pics, its a serious piece of art, and makes me just want to get a good excuse to build a new setup hahaha. Stellar fantastic work.

I would love to see some dyno results, compared to GM carb intakes.

What's the difference in height between this intake, and a suitable throttle body, and a stock LS7 intake??

About three feet. OK maybe not, but I'd guess it's a foot taller. I plan on taking the cowl back to the windshield. I also think I will have to cut the support from the bottom of my VFN hood. Forget about it with a stock hood.

Looks like the top of the intake is in line with bottom of the winshield.

That is a pic of RPM's car and they have some stuff stacked on top of it.

Default manifold height

Keep in mind, that manifold is .750 higher than the LS7 because it is on a c5r head. The overall height onthe LS7 is jus under 8 inches from the valley tray surface on the block. Yes it is tall and may not be for everyone, but that was my point in making it. The GMPP intake fits under a stock hood but is nearly 50-60 hp down from my manifold on a 700 hp application. About 30-40 average hp.
