Default Cam setup with nitrous. Opinions.

Hey guys I am new to the site. I just sold my 1001 hp twin turbo cobra and picked up a 2005 z51 c6 with 29k miles.

I am looking to put a cam in it for now. What is a good cam for the ls2? What all is involved with doing a cam on these motors? Not looking for some crazy cam, just something that makes decent power. I also plan on spraying it with about 100-125 shot.

Also where can I find some nice headers for a decent price?

LMK some opinions.

Thanks
-Jaime

BTW I tried searching and couldnt find the answers I was looking for..

23X/24X 114 (G5X3) is an excellent choice imo. You don't need a N20 cam profile with your intended hp spray amount. Basis it off the combo and goals with the car, and not your N20.

We have been getting excellent results with our Stinger cam. Its a 224/232 113. On the LS2's we are getting 435 all day long conistenly. We have run over 120+mph with cam and also run low 11's with our LS2 setups. This is also an excellent nitrous cam. Has a good lope with excellent drivability. Give me a call or shoot me a pm. We have done this setup on a lot of LS2's. We have also setup nitrous kits on them as well...

I say try an LG Motorsports cam too. Get a custom spec'd cam though so you get precisely what you are looking for. As far as headers go, you can't go wrong with the LG Pro Longtubes. Awesome headers bro. I've had mine since 2005 and no issues as all. Even re used them on my 402 build. I re used everything else as well. LOL. LGM's number is in my sig. Ask for Bobby, he'll take care of ya.

Can you post up some info on that 1001 hp Cobra ?? Pics, graphs, whatever you have, I'd like to see it, and I am sure other people would too, even though this is an ls site.

29.5 lbs of boost, holy mackeral !!! That son of a bitch must have flown !! What's the fastest you ever took it ?? How did she handle at high speeds ?? Were you able to get traction at all ?? Any track times ??

SOrry for all the questios, but when someone does a ***** to the wall build it gets my attention. Why did you get rid of it ??

IDK never maxed it out, but the tach stops at 160 and it was still pulling hard. On pump gas with dr's there wasnt any traction at all doesnt matter what gear you were in if you stomped it as soon as boost hit your on the limiter. Never even bothered with race gas on the street. No track times, never went to the track.Handled fantastic at high speeds. Deff a no joke car.

I sold it because I wanted a nice DD instead of a lincoln. The gas mileage and extensive mods always stopped me from driving it.
