What is killing my gas mileage? help please. Lately my gas mileage has been going down. I used to average around 16mpg city driving in my old town. i moved recently, and there is alot more stop and go traffic here. the computer says i am getting around 12mpg now.
I am assuming that it is the increase in stopping and going that is killing my gas mileage. The timing on lights suck down here, and there is more traffic.
is it my cam killing the gas mileage? i have a feeling it is.
dart 225 heads fully worked by PMFL
streetsweeper cam by edc 236/240 .610 .610 111lsa +cam kit
vic jr intake with custom elbow, fuel rails, 48lb injectors
kooks long tube 1-7/8 headers with off road mids
h-pipe with sweet thunder muffs.
custom CAI intake i made for myself.

Computer may not be calibrated for your larger injectors. Check the mileage at your fillups and see if it still compares.

i had it tuned after i installed the manifold, injectors, etc. It was tuned by Bob@pmfl. If he is around here, perhaps he can post up my tune. Perhaps something is off with my car?

Any cam that has an intake duration that's higher than 220 is going to start affecting the economy quite badly.

on the highway it is getting about 1-2mpg less. not too bad, i think the fuel down here has more methanol in it. However, the stop and go traffic is what is absolutely killing me. The lights are timed terribly down here (south florida, ft lauderdale\boca area). they stop you at every frigging light. I wish i had the scratch, i would redo my car. probably go with a smaller cam and a maggie.
