Default Rod Bolt designations On the LS2 / LQ9 Floating rods

Ok I / We all Know ARP and Katech both make better bolts and they should be upgrade while you have this stuff appart....

How ever, I was told on the factory floating pin rods for an LS2, There are 3 different Factory Rod Bolt designations. I was told I could have what ever I would like through a rod guy.

The designations are supposed to be;
10.9
12.9
Hourglass

Apparently the bolt shank and or head of the bolt are different lengths deppending on the designation. Any one better then the other??? Are all the floating rods threaded the same way??? Any buddy else notice this stuff???

I was wondering if I would have a problem with one stlye Vs. the other when I went to put my new Up graded rod bolts in...

Any help on the specifics would be greatly appericated.

Thanks!

He is prob talking about the metric grade of the bolt. They are on the head of the bolt. ARP does not use "grades" like that, so do not worry. Its either the Hi perf series or the PRO2000

Well he has not been able to come up with any other info on them but apparently they differ mainly at The bolt head. I have not seen them in person so I am not 100% sure... I guess as long as all the floating style rods are the same It won't matter.
