Good heads (not just high CFM numbers from a flowbench) require less cam duration which then helps build 3000 and up torque and still makes power at the top end (which your truck engine only visits for a small fraction of the time you are accelerating). Your truck intake is a good one so heads should be chosen which fit to it.

A head/cam package for TBSS to do what you want is not the same as one for a 3400# car. You need to find someone who has done this successfully and have him advise you as to the specifics including cost. Unfortunately I don't see anyone around here who fits the bill. It has been done, however, so all is not lost.

FWIW, I'm not a cam guy, but your 232/239 seems way big for duration. If money (budget) was really not a concern, more displacement, along with the heads/cam,etc. would be helpful.

My $.02
