Default Ls1 to Ls2 Swap! ( Need A Little Info Please )

Does anyone know if i can pull my LS1 out and swap in LS2 without problems? ( M6 Car)

What are known problems if any?

I have been searching awyle either im blind or... im blind.

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks guys!

Edit, okay i have found some stuff and need some more info.

Will the 58X to 24X reluctor wheel adapter by lingenfelter work so i dont have to change the reluctor wheel and cam timing gear for the LS1 to LS2 swap?
( It says it works for LS7 and LS3 but it doesnt say LS2 ) I assume it will work for LS2 aswell?

You just need the block and the ls2 conversion kit. You don't need the ls2 vette pan b/c it might not fit. All the stuff on the ls1 goes on the ls2.

Ya sorry, I made a mistake there. I had to get a new LS6 batwing pan because my pan was damaged. The front covers are different right?

Yes they are different b/c the cam sensor is up front on the ls2 vs. the ls1 witch is on the top back.

relocate knock sensor to side of block, get cam and knock sensor extension harness, ls2 front cover. Might have to switch the a and c pins on the cam sensor harness to work right, i did. Other than that no difference.

Where did you get the knock sens extensions? What are the a and c pins? Do you mean the wiring polarity? Thanks

SDPC has them, the two out side wires that go to the cam sensor, you have to cut and switch them or else it will be hard to start and your tach will not work.
