Default Need Timing Cover/Cam Sensor HELP!!

My 402 LS2 engine came with a 24X reluctor, standard LS2 2x cam sprocket and a 12600326 timing cover, which has a tan cam sensor. Is this sensor/cover going to work ? GM Parts Direct deosn't show an application for that timing cover part number, but I'm afraid it's a later model sensor. Does it matter as long as the sprocket is right ? I'm using a FAST system if that makes a difference.

Bump for answer... GMPP can't answer this, so I'm hoping someone here can. I'm thinking a sensor is a sensor, as long as the sprocket trigger is correct. But I'm not sure..

i did on my ls7 build youll need the katech extension harness and swap the outside two wires and it should work just fine. Make sure it has the extenstion that bolts to the front of the cover.

Thanks. So it will work with the 1x sprocket...that's great news. I have to wire in my FAST anyway, so swapping the wires is no big deal..

Yup, it'll work, I'm running the tan one right now as well.
