Default Need to pick sum compression, how much can I shave my AFR heads?

My compression ratio is way too low after switching to my new AFR heads, I got a good deal on 72cc's so I went ahead and got them. How much can I take off from resurfacing to pick up some compression without weakening the deck without making the head too weak for boost? I like to pick up one point in comp.
Is that possible?

AFR sells them with as low as 59cc's but you run into ptv clearance issues depending on your cam size...

AFR told me 66cc is the smallest they recommend on the 72's.

Can you go more than that? It's up to you...

What are your engine specs?

I had my 72cc AFR's milled to 66cc by Tony Mamo who did some additional port work as well.

mill as little as possible

check your deck clearance and use a gasket that gives you .040 quench

other then that, specially in boosted application leave it as that.

hey, havent checked on this thread in a while, thanks for the replies.
Im running forged LS2 with ls6 cam/intake AFR 72cc, 6lbs, daily driver.
Ill mill them down to 66cc, change down to .040 gaskets but I think ill leave it alone for a while since it runs good enough for now, even off boost. Ill go back and redo the exhaust and mill the heads and turn it up to 12-14lbs when funds allow again.
I just does not seem worth it now, for such little gains short of getting new heads

thanks for all the advices!
