Default What spark plugs for 427/TFS 235 heads?

Have no idea what I should use. Also, is piston contact an issue?

Thanks,

Bill

If it is an N/A motor (which I assume it is), it depends on your dynamic compression ratio (DCR). If it is higher, you'll want to run something with a cooler temperature rating like an NGK BP7EFS. If it's normal compression ratio, the NGK TR-6 will do fine.

This is a useful read: http://www.ngk.de/Spark_plugs.649.0.html

Share your static compression ratio and your cam specs and we can point you in the right direction.

Compression will be 11.8. Cam is around 24X/25X and 62X.

thanks

Your DCR is less than 9.3:1 assuming a typical lobe profile. I would start with the TR-6, and if you can't get alot of timing out of them, switch to the cooler BP7EFS. If you plan on running nitrous, then start with the BP7EFS.

agreed....I still couldn't get a reading on the 6's. Went to the 7's and can just now read the plugs. Streetability is unchanged and fouling has not occured. Play it safe.

I've got a 408 with similar compression and cam size and runs great on TR-6's
