Default ARE stage 3 LS7 drysump kit

Is anyone out there using the ARE kit on their LS7? I'm curious how the second scavenge pump gets plumbed into the system - does it run straight back to the tank, bypassing the cooler?

Any insight appreciated.

TIA

Default

it gets run straight back into the oil tank once it gets sucked out of the drivers side of the pan and pass's through the external pump. The tank seperates the oil/air and clean oil goes out the bottom back into the motor.

you have to have the right pan for it though. I've seen some ARE cast LS7 pans with out the bung adaptor on the drivers side that feed the external scavenge pump.

If you do not have the drivers side bung cast/machined into the pan ( I.E. early ARE stage II pan) then you can run a vac pump that mounts in the same location from these guys...

I just removed mine and it comes with all the plumbing to hook it up to Katech valve covers. PM me if anyone is interested. This will work with ALL LS motors and can be plumed into the valve covers ( with good baffles), valve cover oil fill or valley cover.

hope that helps.
