500hp in LS2 from Trailblazer SS

Help Please 500hp in LS2 from Trailblazer SS
I'm currently doing an engine swap into my 62 impala. I'm using the ls2 from a tbss. I would like to reach 500rwhp with good amount of torque and NA. Its gonna be a cruiser and the usual light to light races. I definitely want to be able to be on the hwy cruising around 40-60, stomp on it and leave most daily cars. Im working on about a $3k budget. I have been reading about the L92 swap with the L76 intake, it it seems to put me in the right direction towards my goal. I did hear that putting a car intake on this motor will make it lose bottom end. I believe i may have to go with the car intake for clearance issues, but i will find out soon. While i have the motor out, i figured i should just handle every thing now.
I need some help figuring everything out. What to buy, where to get it, and what is gonna be the best option to achieve my goal with my budget and with the most reliability. I definitely don't want to build a grenade!!!!
Thank you in advance for your help!!!

460 - 480 rwhp for a street engine is fairly routine with and LS2, 500 N/A will start to take away some street manners. Not sure you can get there for
$3K. You'll need long tube headers, good set of heads, a new cam, and a ported intake/TB at a minimum. With the car intake you will also need to change or modify the accessory assembly so everything clears.

I have a ls2 from a trail blazer but made to a 402ci. I have ported l92's stock un-ported l76 intake,1 7/8 headers and the rest of the boltons. with under 300mi I made 517hp 468tq on a mustang dyno. I'm now running the LG Motorsports G6X3 cam that was made to work with the l92 heads. I had a much bigger custom cam before. I did the swap and gained alot over the bigger cam. I will have new dyno #'s with in one or two weeks. with the new fast intake comming out I should see 540ish hp. U should easy get 500hp from your build.

I can drive my car daily with no problems at all. my cam dont stumble or buck at all. car dont heat up,it's like any other car. however,i am a m6 and that may have some to do with how well it drives. no stall needed here. reliabilaty? as good as my hummer or my other cars. I would trust it driving across states.

500rwhp from an ls2 with a stock bottom end with no juice or boost is damn near impossible. I only know of a few cars that have done it.. to make those kind of numbers with stock cubes/no boost/no juice you will pretty much have to make it a dyno queen that will not have any street manners.
most head/cam GTO's with the ls2 are making about 430+rwhp average... you will have an extremely hard time hitting the 500rwhp mark w/o cubes/boost/spray.
not trying to be condescending or anything I just don't wanna see someone get their hopes up and be disappointed

Sean is correct. Unless you find killer deals on parts to keep you under 3K budget, it will be absolutely impossible to reach 500rwhp with a stock bottom end LS2 and L92/L76 heads/intake. If you're able to stroke it with new rods/pistons, get a nice set of ported L92 heads and ported intake, and a healthy cam should get you to your 500 rwhp goal, but expect to be looking closer to about 7-8K worth of parts and labor (unless you can do the labor part yourself). 450 rwhp would be a much more manageable goal while keeping it around 3K on your stock bottom end.

450 sounds good to me!!!!! more info please!! After researching somethings, i want to make it clear that im going for a hp that is usable, streetable, and fun to drive. Not a drag car, but more of a cruiser that will be able to run with mustangs, camaros, etc. on the hwy.
I hear that although the l92 swap is good for top end, i will end up losing low and mid range.
So im still looking for suggestions, cam, and stall with?????

Gonna be difficult to even hit 450 with a 3k budget. Best bet is a set of L92s, ported, and a custom cam from Pat G. You'll need good headers and exhaust plus an awesome tune to even get close. If you have a power eating drivetrain, you probably won't get there at all, but you may get close.
What components do you already have? What tranny and rear and tires are you going to be running?
