Default Best engine for FI?

Need alot of help here! I'm wanting to go with a TVS2300 maggie and forged engine. I don't know if I should go with a 370 or 402. The 370 would be a cheaper build but thought since it was apart may just go with the stroker.
My other issue is there isn't alot of machine shops with LSx experience so an assemblied short block may be an option also. Since it would be a mail order engine I feel uncomfortable not knowing alot about the company and work done. Also need to know what heads a could run with this. I currently have
L92's that could be worked to use on a new motor. Throw me any opinions on this. Thanks

Give us a call Monday & lets discuss your application. I think we can help you with a short-block that can handle your needs. My 347 in my C5 made over 850rwhp & it had all the standard TSP parts in it! We can help you spec a short-block & camshaft to get you where you want to be.

Sent a pm, it all depends on how much power your trying to make. Iron is more durable than aluminum and seems to be the preferred block for FI builds. Some guys tear down and rebuild more than others (racers) and some guys have no plans to (95% of the engines built) so there are a few things to consider to a proper build.

As far as reputation just do a search on HKE, its the only engine we sell for a reason

My supercharger supplier suggested staying with a 364-370 engine. He's been running a forged LS2 at 15psi with no problems. I want to run close to the same but only at or around 10psi. Would also like to stay with aluminum and I know it's not as durable. Please someone send me a quote to build one.
I've PM but no responses yet. I would like to hear what prep is done to block and if it is used or new. Same with crank and a list of parts going into it with prices and shipping to a business address that has a fork lift at 50310. Also if there is a core or not. Thanks

After lots of emails from several and still I'm very confused
I've talked with magnacharger and they tell me I will be very happy with a 364-370 and the TVS2300. I'm thinking of sticking with that but still not convinced of who to have build it.

There are plenty of decent builders on here that can build a solid short block. As your supplier suggested stay away from the large displacement deal. In the long run it's not going to make any difference one you bolt a TVS 2300 on top. And with the shorter stroke and bore it will be more reliable.

I have a LS7 block that I plan to install a Lunati stock stroke (LS3) forged crankshaft. Top that with a set of LS3 GMPP CNC ported heads and a TVS 2300 I plan on using the Lunati rods with a set of Diamond pistons.

The 2300 moves enough air that the long stoke is a waste. I'll make more power with a shorter stroke

Thanks, that is the best explanation I have heard from anyone so far on why to stay with the smaller displacement.
