Default cam for vortech blown 6L L92

Hey guys I have searched long and hard, need some advice.

My car is a VE commodore ute with L98(LS2 and L92 heads). It has 4 into 1 long tubes dual 3inch exhaust no cats. Engine has been upgraded with clevite bearings properly clearanced arp bolts throughout, 218/224/112 xfi cam. double valve springs , double row timing chain and SLP oil pump. Vortech T trim blower 9psi at 6600rpm.

Best time NA 12.20@116mph 1.99 sixty foot unprepped track SD tune.

First time out blown, 7psi slipping crank pulley(now pinned) 1.62 sixty foot prepped track 11.3@121mph with MAF tune.

Confident I will get 10s now as car is 2 bar tuned never seen a dyno and crank is pinned however it is undercammmed. This car has 4000 pound race weight with me in it. I dont want to lose much bottom end if anything improve it.

I am open to all suggestions I think the gist is to run 10 deg splits it blown 364ci or strokers. I also don't want to flycut the pistons as I am boosting it.

cheers

You're pretty close to having the right intake duration, but you'll need to have a much larger exhaust lobe. Imagine trying to exhale the equivalent of a 500 cubic inch engine through a 1.6" exhaust valve. You're gong to need way more than 224 duration. Probably more like 236. Widen the LSA to 114 and don't run any earlier than 112 intake centerline (to keep your DCR down).

Thankyou Patrick for the fast reply. I guess I need to open the ex early to expel the gases. The intake side though..218 is close?. That's interesting. Because its boosting through a large port and 2.16" valve I assume this is adequate for the application as there is little in the way of restriction thru the intake. I was thinking of around 220 intake and over 230s exhaust, Just wasn't sure if I needed much more on the intake but in this case should be ok....
