we put one in my brother-in-law's GTO and used Patriot Gold valvesprings, i believe that you just have to use something thats a double spring, the brand probably doesn't matter as much.

modding cars is not cheep. I have been running comp 921's for some years and they have never failed. Stop crying over money when It come to your car. also, you should of already knew you would need better springs before you got a cam. next time do research on what you are getting. by the way,the g6x3 cam is a great cam,I have it also. If the gold springs are rated to a 650lift you can use them just fine. goodluck to ya.

well the gold springs are rated to 660! why i ask is because lg motorsports wants f**king $1700 just for a cam kit!!!!! thats not cheap!!! and it only comes with cam, springs, pushrods, and chain now tell me what you think of that price. i paid $1300 for cam, springs, pushrods, fuel pump, underdrive pulley, chain and gears, and plug wires. but got cam from lg and the other stuff from prc in delaware.

PAC 1521,

but its about the same price. If you want a premium duration spring that you dont have to change to often then your going to have to pay. But its features nitriding and Nano peen processing

PRC has a new spring kit as well that you might want to check out. Give them a call and ask them about it. I'll be carrying it shortly, but I do not have them in stock at this time.

why would you go with a monster cam like that and want to be CHEAP on the springs which is a vital part of the equation

because every shop i talk to say the prc or golds will work great!!! for less then 1/2 price of the 921!! and on top off that i just payed $5000 for motor and another $3000 on top of that for all the other parts. so if the gold springs will work for atleast 30,000 miles and save $400 then thats the route i need to take for now.

Thats the question, will the Gold Springs last for 30,000 miles? Best to call Patriot and ask them, your cam specs and driving habits all come into play.

Or call TSP and ask about their new premium dual spring.

If you have to swap a cheap spring every 15k miles instead of 25k then your not saving money. (for example) Calling the MFG is the best way to get the facts you need. Some springs fade quicker than others and should be checked at quicker intervals

Ignore it mate. Its just the proud my exy spring is better i get ripped from comp attitude. In Aus Extremes are very popular I ran them with my xfi lobes cam for 30000miles and has only dropped 5 pound in spring pressures. oztrack tuning has dumped all other brands after having them fall short prematurely and went to the extremes for good. They use them in LSK cammed blown engines and last a LONG time with not one failure. All the talk is BS and from our shop we stand by them not because there cheap but because they are very good. I was asked to replace a set 2 weeks ago. I checked all the spring pressures and said there as good as new after over 20000miles. A lot of the spring issues are from running silly 80thou preload numbers
