Maybe you are NOT aware, but the LS2 chain IS the LS3 chain as well. If you want to upgrade because it is bugging you, there are alot of options. Single roller there is our IWIS chain, the C5R chain, or the Cloyes IRL chain that we are offering until they are sold out.

Those are also posted in increasing cost as well....our IWIS chain is around $45, the C5R is somewhere north of $120 i believe or the IRL chain for $274.95.

But honestly I really see NO need to change the timing chain anyway. The LS2 chain is a tried and true chain for the most part.

This "someone" should investigate a little more before passing along internet rumors. Parts do fail, its a daily part of life. Normally a failure is due to (even though they do not want to admit it) installer failure, driver error, abuse, oil starvation, mismatch of parts, etc. There is always a reason, but most of the time that reason is not failure of an LS2 chain.

There are a few options like I posted above, 2 of those chains are tried and true and one is little less talked about.

Peace of mind will go a long way though.

I am saying that if that gives you peace of mind, then go for it. If you are still worried about it, then do something about it.....that is what I am saying.

I have put 45,000 miles one LS2 chain and over 50,000 miles on another one .... no problems and a great value for the $$ ..

PS If you feel that you just have to spend the money to feel better the IWIS chain is a good quality chain.

The CHAINS might be the same but I think the concerns with the LS3 is the TENSIONER.
