Default Can't start my car after engine swap

Just like the title says.It's driving me nuts it sounds like I might have an electrical gremlin.I swapped the starter and got a new battery but it still only clicks and doesn't turn over.I noticed that the ground gets hot on the battery.Please help its the only thing keeping me from hearing my baby after bieng down for almost 6 years!!!Oh and its the camaro in the sig

Sounds like a Body ground.. Ground motor to frame and body to frame if its not already grounded good. Did you jump the start to see if it spins? Also could be the starter solenoid or something sticking. Just guessing right now.

had the same prob on my 95 c1500 pickup truck. the groundwire is either fried or shorted out. we replaced it and it fired right up. just to clarify though, test it with a multimeter.
