Default What bolcks will accept trad. intake(90/90)

I am looking at going bigger cubes once i get my car paid off, i would really like to go with a ls3 427 bolck, ive heard that u cant run a tradional style intake like a fast 92 for some reason, anyways, i do want to stay alum. and really want to run the trickflow 225-235 heads, will they work? Thanks for the help guys

The intake will be dictated by the cylinder heads, not the engine block. If you run the L92/LS3 cylinder heads you will have to run the L92/LS3-specific intake manifold assembly. Since you're looking at the Trick Flow cylinder heads, a FAST 92mm intake will work fine since the Trick Flow heads are a traditional, cathedral design.

Let me know when you're ready for the 427 LS3 and Trick Flow heads. We can set you up with everything, and we can also do the complete long-block assembly if you prefer. We even offer engine dynoing for break-in and testing at our facility before your engine ships!

Feel free to give us a call with any questions or concerns.

All the blocks will accept any head/intake combo for the most part. The issue is the cathedral vs. rectangle ports on the heads/intake. If you go with cathedral heads, the Fast 92 will be fine. If you go with LS3/L92 heads, you need either the LS3/L92 or carb intake. LS7 heads need the LS7 intake or Fast LSXR.
