Default L92 Head Flow Results

The flow numbers are in for my heads. These numbers are on the stock valve job and with stock GM LS3 valves.
The Head Shop here in Houston did the porting. Sean and Jerry are the techs.
The Intake 158.1 @ .200 The Exhaust 114.0 @ .200
221.5@ .300 160.1 @ .300
280.4 @ .400 199.1 @ .400
312.0 @ .500 226.5 @ .500
337.2 @ .600 243.6 @ .600
346.0 @ .700 250.0 @ .700
WE are going to use REV valves. When the valves come in the shop will do the valve job. May have even better #s. Its been a long process the car has been down almost a year. This engine should be a torque monster with the L76 intake on it.

Thanks. They compare to some other porters results + or - a few cfm. I'm really happy with the exhaust #'s. They flow with some of the advertised #s of the after market cath. port stuff. We will find out what the engine will due soon. (i hope)

Of course it's flow bench specific but your #'s look very similar to the results I have; Same condition with the as recieved GM valve job and port work only. We flowed another set that an old school local porter had done and they were no better than these flowed as stock.

Local porter here gets 365 cfm @ .650 and I'm not positive on the exhaust flow numbers, IIRC 265 cfm.

There's like 15 L92/L76 top ended 416ci's around here from him putting down 530+ RWHP with 230's cams.

Why would you spend the money for porting, but still run the OE valve job? Just wondering.......

We were waiting on the new valves. The shop and I went back and forth on running Ti valves or not. We are not going to run Ti valves. The hollow stem intakes from rev will do. They will grind the new valve job on them.
I don't know the final price on the porting yet. You can call them, pm me for the #.
Oh yea 530 @ the wheels sounds good, I was dremaing of 650, but would like 550 rwhp. On N2O who knows!!! I am looking for 150+ mph at the strip on spray in the 1/4 and 6.60 to 6.20 NA in the 1/8. Index racing is popular here in Texas.

Have you got physical data that says the l92 heads don't like boost ?

and if they don't at what power level or psi do these issues arise?

he never said that l92's don't like boost. when you have a block that will accept 6 bolt heads, why not use all 6 bolts? while there are plenty of people that are going fast fi on 4 bolt set-ups, 6 bolts is just added insurance. it makes perfect sense to me. I'm doing the same thing.

I like how you just added something into the discussion that I never said. L92's with 4 bolts will get shot through my hood with the FI98X turbo I'm planning to use. I have an LSX block already, it's gonna get 6 bolt heads and be built right.

I was just saying L92's flow alot more than what the OP got with other porters.

I don't know if L92's fit on an LS6 block like I have anyway. But if I was keeping this 120,000 427ci any longer, and they would fit on an LS6 block, I probably would have done the L92/L76 combo LONG AGO, since its dirt cheap and flows great.

Custom cam arrived today from FTI in the 240+ range with a power band between 3500-6800 RPM . It should work great with the 76 intake and the mythical unicorn FAST 102. All I lack now are some headers. Looking at the ARH 17/8.

Did you try LME? They have a SF600 flowbench.
