Default Timing chain advise

ls3 427 with cnc'd ls3's and hopefully a fast 102 pretty soon
Engine might see up to a 200 shot. I have the melling high volume pump also.
Lot of options for a timing set, Just dont know what is overkill and what would be more then fine for what I have.

Thanks,
Nick

If there are any left, Skoggins was selling the last few sets of Cloyes Hex-Adjust with the IRL chain. A lot of money, but the best timing set ever made for the LS1. The timing chain is made by Renold and is blue printed, shot peened and hand assembled. This is the chain that was developed to fix the problems they were having with the Olds Aurora Indy motor. Cloyes stopped making them a few years ago but had several sets in the warehouse. SDPC recently bought them all and is selling them. Once they are gone that will be it. Link

Definitely go with SDPC for the chain. Great prices and selection and John is a standup guy to work with. He has helped immensely with my order.

Katech has had solid success with their C5R single row chain. Not to bad on the wallet either at 140 bucks.
