lq4/lq9 internals and components fit to bare LS2 block?
From what i've gathered, it looks like I can get an lq4 or lq9 engine complete for very reasonable prices and a brand new ls2 block is right around $1k. Will all the internals and covers swap right over to the ls2 block? There's a lot of people on here that know these inside out so I wanted to ask to see if there's any snags I might run into to.
My plan is to build a fresh, stock CI bottom end for a naturally aspirated application with an L92 top end. If i'm going to do the swap I want to max on my weight savings. I've seen lq engines for a lot cheaper than I could piece together all the extras i'd need for a bare block.
Or would I be gaining much by waiting and finding a complete l92?
Then the next thing is to sort out the electronics side of things, but there's tons of info on here about that so i'll leave that topic alone for now.
