machining rear oil passage in LQ block??
hey guys, im wondering if it is worth the time to machine the rear oil passage behind the rear oil cover. For those of you who dont know what im talking about, there are two holes at the back of the motor, and on the newer LS engines, there is a groove that connects the 2 holes to improve oil flow at high RPM.
this motor im building is for a turbo, and wont be revving toooo high, maybe 7k tops on rare occasions. it is 99% a street car.
im just wondering if its worth the time to have someone CNC that or if i can just dremel it myself, or if it doesnt realy matter.
Thanks!!

I had the same question when it came time to build mine .
I didn't do it in the end .
Wasn't needed because I found out the new GM rear covers now come with a deeper oil gallery between the 2 holes on the rear .About 5mm deep from memory .
