Default HELP!! 6.2 heads&cam advise what 2 buy

Ok I got a 08 L92 stock,, this is what I got for it so far, 1 3/4 long tubes, L76 intake, GMPP Stage 2 cam, LS6 springs... Im thinkin about a pair of heads for this setup but not sure what to get, I was lookin at the WCCH L92 Stage 2's, what kind of hp will I be exspecting with this combo... I know the cam is pretty radical, but all tips and advise will work. Like everyone Im trying to make some badass power, but is this the combo????????????

Those are a good set of heads and they are proven. TSP also has a set of heads that are ported and flow very well and are a lil cheaper. That cam is a lil smaller than what i'm going with. Mine is 236/240 600/607 on a 113. These heads don't seem to like too much cam. They make good power with medium sized cams.

Your combo should make around 420-440 rwhp thru an auto.

L92s have VVT and sometimes AFM.

If you have AFM, no cam for you.... without a lot of swapping

VVT requires a VVT cam.... Comp Cams made 500hp with theirs isn GM hight tech article.

They are not too much for a stock block. Gm high tech mag put a ported set from WCCH on an ls3 vette and the vette already had a cam and longtubes and was making 487 rwhp. Just the ported heads jumped it up to 518 rwhp. That was a magazine article so take that with a grain of salt also.

The heads you chose from WCCH are good. As I said before TSP has them cheaper. Whether they are better or not I cannot say but you can't go wrong with either of them.

I am personally going with the TSP heads for my build. Let us know what you decide.

Those heads will be fine. I think 440-500 hp is possible. Take a look at my build thread and see the heads that I had done. You could go the cheaper route by just doing a valve job and replacing the heavy 92 valves with LS3 lite weight ones. This with a good cam should make good power. From what i've seen of some of the cnc heads they are just doing a gasket match port job with a little chamber work. You could do that with a sand roll your self..

We have an option that I think you might like. It is a fully ported exhaust with a deep bowl ported intake with valve jobs on both the intake and exhaust. Price would be $875 exchange.

The reason we do it this way is you get the max flow out of the intake without touching the port to keep the volume down. Doing the whole port may only pick up 1-2hp, but you will affect the torque doing it.

Let me know if this is something you are interested in.

Thanks,

The cam that you have should work. I would change the springs to some duals because of the weight of the valves. PACs are the best, you might even run their bee hive type.
