Arrow Wiseco vs. Diamond

Just wanted to get a few thoughts from the guys that have run both.....My last setup used Wiseco -8cc nitrous pistons and did very well...Currently looking at a new build and my builder is leaning toward the Diamonds...

...Just looking for some insight on the Diamonds..It seems that Diamond has stepped it up with the Ls series and are now offering coated skirts included as well as a few other little things, that they didn't before....

Thanks in advance...

IMHO the Diamonds have a better skirt design, the Wiseco's have a little stubby thing. But you cannot argue with what works. I have had them both and they both took a massive beating.

Wiseco. They come with that smaller skirt to clear all cranks and all 8 pistons will clear the reluctor wheel. Wisecos also come already prepped; no deburring needed by the engine assembler. I have been very pleased with mine.

My Wisecos have been great....Just looking for people using Diamonds, since my builder was leaning towards them....I've been the guy that when something works, stick with it...I'm not a builder, I destroy ****... so I was looking for some different insight..

Wiseco offers free coating where you have to pay for it with Diamond. The same piston cost about 150-250 more from Diamond that you can get from Wiseco. We use Wiseco in 99.9% of our builds with no issues ever. Why swap when you had good success? It wont be any better but will cost more.

We also use Wiseco more often than Diamond. They require less finish work and deburring, have the skirts coated for free, and a big nasty thick top ring land and ring set included standard!

Had to clearance the pin boss area on the diamond to clear the reluctor wheel on the last one I did.. It was kind of annoying, but you get used of stuff like that in hot rodding.

Go with Wiseco. A friend has a LS build and has had no issues with Wiseco pistons in any of his other builds.

All of what others have said about Wiseco pistons are true in this thread.

Look for some additional oversizes and new designs at PRI on Dec. 10. Thanks for your support. -Brian Nutter -Wiseco Automotive.
