Default NEW LS-R Edelbrock head?

Hello,

Has anyone seen the new Edelbrock LS-R race head?

It's a canted valve, raised runner deal with big room for 1" lift valve train, ..
450+cfm ports, ..2.23" x 1.625" valves, etc, ..

But it's designed for bore sizes 4.125" and larger

Could make 1000+ on a big inch build, ..

question is anyone building combos like this, .. what is the current head used,
thoughts on the LS-R head ????

Not until Spring and there's no intakes for them yet.

I have seen them. I have also seen the dollar signs attached to them to get them to any sort of semi finished/finished state. They will be a good head.

We got one at our shop months ago and had a good look at it and they were areas in the casting that thin and needed revised. They made some changes and we got the newer one a week ago. I'm looking forward to working on it. Should be a great head.

Actually I have all of my development and cnc programming done
and will have a finished head in the Edelbrock booth at PRI.

I understand Edelbrock is also working on a cast intake for this, ..

but wouldn't a sheetmetal be the way to go with this on a 500" shortblock??

Awfully defense over there...

Ok... not a copy ... if you say so Curtis. Funny how the Performance Induction canted valve LSX heads were out two years BEFORE the Rick Roberts' LSR head. Guess Cary should take this as the greatest form of compliment.

A canted valve head for an LSX block-Nice. Old school big block technology on late model equipment. I love it.

That pic has a strange black mark on the intake there on #1 runner. Looks like someone doctored up the intake in paintbrush to scrub out a name. Does the location and shape look familiar to anyone??

So the Intake and exhaust valves are not different angles right? Rectangular intake ports round exhaust-These heads look they are for serious N/A power. And of course any other type too.

Cool, thanks for the info on that one. So, it looks like it 'for an LS engine', but they say its for Cup stuff. So I guess Im unfamiliar with the connection between LS and the Cup stuff, can someone fill in some blanks for me?? Thanks.
