Default LSX-LS7 heads and intake are HERE at SDPC!!

GM Performance Parts LSX-LS7 Assembled Cylinder Heads

Part Number #19201806

Just released from GM Performance Parts and in stock at Scoggin Dickey Parts Center for immediate delivery --- the all new LSX Series of Performance cylinder heads. The LSX-LS7 is the first to be released with more applications coming over the next 90-days. The LSX series heads feature many significant improvements over GM factory production cylinder heads making them the first choice for new LSX engine builds and power upgrades for your current LS engine family. The new 6-bolt LSX-LS7 cylinder head was developed specifically to meet the needs of racers, professional machine shops, and performance enthusiasts that require added strength, larger valve springs, and more opportunities for performance modifications that could not be performed on a stock LS7 cylinder head. The LSX-LS7 as-cast ports are modeled from the production CNC ports to provide out-of-the-box performance. So step up to the NEW Performance in LS7 cylinder heads --- the LSX-LS7 from Scoggin Dickey Parts Center!!
• Extra thick 0.625” deck for increased strength and the ability to mill or angle-mill for specific engine designs and combinations
• Premium 356-T6 aluminum to handle high horsepower applications with added material to the ports for professional porting
• Reinforced rocker stands for increased strength and rigidity – over 0.250” extra width versus stock LS7 rocker stands
• Includes additional head bolts for the 6-bolt LSX block and can also be used on production LS blocks – minimum bore size for the LSX-LS7 is 4.100”
• 2.200” LS7 titanium intake valves, 1.610” light-weight LS7 sodium filled exhaust valves
• “As-Cast” ports can be ported for maximum air flow or used as is -- intake port flows approximately 335cfm @ 0.600” lift and the exhaust flows approximately 215cfm @ 0.600” lift
• Heavy Duty PAC springs for a maximum lift of 0.650” for hydraulic roller cam applications.
• Reinforced spring pockets for race applications. Spring Pockets are machined to accept up to a 1.550”OD spring
• Uses stock LS7 rockers arms, LS7 intake manifold, and valve covers

#19201806 LSX-LS7 Cylinder Head Assembly $1295.00-ea

Not only that, but we have the GMPP carb style intakes for them for both standard deck and tall deck applications! These intakes do have bosses cast into them in the event that you want to drill them for fuel injection.

Great news! So if these were bolted on as is, they would these perform identically to the stock LS7 heads? Thanks

I dont think so. As soon as they say there is extra material for porting, they are telling you that they wont flow what the cnc piece will flow. It does appear that they have better potential and are real decent as cast.

Right now they are not available in a bare casting.

They sound like a nice base to start with, but they are kind of expensive for an as cast head. I look forward to seeing some results once people develop CNC programs for them.

They are cast from a CNC LS7 head and they have extra material left for porters. They have titanium intake valves and sodium filled exhaust valves, maybe you have never checked the pricing but a new set of LS7 valves will cost you around $1000 and a LOT of people buy them when putting heads together. . .these heads come with them. They also have PAC .650" springs already installed. Not to mention the extra thick deck and that they are 6-bolt heads. There are a lot of people who are very excited about this head and about the price. I don't know what you are comparing pricing to, but it probably isn't a 6-bolt LS7 head with the same features and parts as this one.

Exactly. These have a huge upside. You could buy them and run them and make good power and then when you saved some more money, send them out to be ported. It would keep from having to buy 2 sets of heads. IMO you have a l92 head with better parts that will accept the ls7 manifold that will allow some of the larger cube motors to extend the usable rpm range...

win-win situation..

Scoggin Dickey prices:

$2590 for complete LSX-LS7 heads
-$992 for intake valves
-$279 for exhaust valves
-$250 for PAC springs (estimated)
=$1069 for a pair of bare LSX-LS7 6 bolt heads. Not a bad deal at all. That doesn't even take into account retainers and locks.
