Default Going to do a cam swap, where to get magnetic pencils?

Where can I purchase the magnetic pencils which I would be using to keep the lifters up for a cam swap?

He is serious, you slide them in from the front and they are a lot safer than the magnets. They go under the lifters once they are seated in the trays and they will keep them from falling. If a magnet comes off while the cam is out you are screwed.

Ok, I did the search and after two searches and going to the 5th page on the second search, I found this:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...fters+cam+swap

Comes complete with the fact that the dowel pins are 5/16" diameter and a pic where to stuff the dowel pins!

do NOT use the magnets! i tried that when i did my first cam swap...one got stuck down there and i spent an hour wiggling it free. i use two steel dowel rods that i sharpened on one end of each of them. spin the cam until the lifters stick in their trays and slide the rods in. make sure ALL of the lifters are in their trays before you pull the cam out! good luck!

If you can find a metal rod to use do that instead, I have heard some bad stories were the wood rods swelled up when oil got on them and consequently get stuck in your motor.
