Default 383(4.100 bore)/377(4.070) from an LQ9/4 all bore?

Can the LQ block be bored out to 4.100''? I was doing some calculations and found the the stock 3.622 stroke and a 4.100 bore can give 383 CI/6.2 LI and a 4.070 bore is 377CI/6.1 . Before I get *** raped with 4.000' crank folks, I trying to build for F.I. and want to keep the cranks rotational mass (and I would like to stick with the stock crank) down. Now eventho a computer program gave me this information, how realistic is it to see an iron gm 6.0 block opened up to 4.100?

Why not just start with a L92 block? Do you have an Iron block already? I've heard .065 is max on over boring an iron block?

I've been dumpster diving for and L92/LS3, but all I'm getting are LQ9/4's and LM7's. I had a L92 block staring me in the face once but at the time didnt know anything about the 6.2 GM block... but the L92 is practically a 377 alum. block..

Yeah I think max is 0.060-0.065" to keep safe cylinder walls for NA application. But if you go FI, I would not bore more than .030 to keep thicker wall in the block.

to get 383ci all bore out of a 6.0 you'd need an offset ground crank.

Then it is not all bore. Offset crank is a modified stock crankshaft for a longer stroke.
A very few iron blocks have been bored to 4.125" with the coolant passages filled with Hard Blok. Mine is filled with Hard Blok up to the bottom of the water pump passage and bored to 4.07" and it is daily driven. That is as far as I'd go unless you have the block sonic checked and it is a track only car that runs for just a few seconds and shuts down.
