Talking L92 bad *** sounding cam.......

There's a section on the GTO forums where you can see and hear the exhaust of different GTO's set up......some with Heads, Cams, headers, on LS1/LS2 and with the corresponding manufacturers, and Specs...yada, yada....

some here are looking for the magical 500+HP and TQ combo, with there L92/LS3 Heads/Cam set up...on stock cube 6.L...engines.

I want to stay with in the boundaries of what i am making in power now, my set up now is with the 243 heads, I've spent a lot of time massaging the heads, intake, TB, and choosing the cam that worked for me....

But having a KILLER sounding car is a must for me.....I am the opposite of many on this board, i rather have some old Rumpity Rump, than High numbers on a Dyno that i will never use....."OK', i lied",,,,, "I like Torque down low"

I do a lot of car shows every month, and there's no better feeling, than to show up to the car show, and have a pack of strangers following you till you park to ask ?'s....
makes you feel like the Good Humor Ice Cream man, with all the kids chasing you down the street LMAO...

Can Some one please spec me out a cam for my intended use....i am going with new set of L92 Heads, and an LS3 intake...

Thanks,
head---------

Put the "right" cam in there and set the idle to 600RPM and you'll have the best of both worlds.

Then again, you can always pull a spark plug wire.

I'm thinking about picking up a 6 litre block a buddy has and putting a big 244/254 .660 lift cam on a 110 in it

That combo will get you an 58° overlap...and the lift is risky...
on a stock 6.0L flat top piston lol...

I'll turn you on to what i am using, and making 480RWHP on massaged #243 LS2 heads...230XFI / 234XER only 8° overlap...this Cam has made power consistently...

I like this idea,

spins cam has only 4* overlap

Stick a MS3 in it
