Default How big of a bore can a lQ9 block take?

Bought a brand new set of afr 225 big bore heads and will go cast iron for strength as I plan on spraying it. I have the eagle 4340 4.0 stroke crank and hbeam 6.125 rods already. How far can the lq9 be bored safely ending up with what cu. in.?

For nitrous i'd stick to 4.030-4.040

some people have taken them further, i've seen the bores crack with power adder though.

Going 30 over should be okay with nitrous. More than that, you'll run into problems with the block.

How big can it go depends on how you plan to abuse it. It can go to at least 4.07" with Hard Blok, that is what mine is. However, I agree with the above that if you plan to spray it a lot then I'd stop at 4.03".

You also have to think of piston availability. There are tons of 4.03 pistons out there.
