Default building ls3 427 stroker, which heads/cam combo?

What would you recommend? Going with NA, pump gas, flat tops w/valve reliefs...High power, but streetable.

Debating L92s, ported L92s, TF 235s, AFR 225 or 245s, etc....

Cam will be dependant on above.

Thanks.

Best bang for the buck would probably be an L92 headed motor. Now that people are getting cam profiles figured out for these it might just be the way to go. I went with AFR 225's on my 416 simply because I already had a FAST 90/90 and I got a super deal on a barely used set of CNC'd AFR's.

What cam companies, sizes, etc. wouldbe good for an L92 headed motor? I want streetable (meaning enough vacuum for brakes and decent idle), but high power/torque as well. I didn't realize they required (or preferred) different profiles than the norm.

Read up a little on LS3/L92 cams their is a TON of information on this site, Just use the search. You will then find who to talk to about a cam for these heads.

Patrick G or Ed Curtis would definitely be able to help you out with cam selection.

Too lazy to search, so which is better?, TFS 235's or ported L92's. Using 102/102.

The flow values on the MAST heads are on a 4 inch bore - be careful as many other suppliers rate theirs on 4.125 bore which makes flow numbers look better. If nitrous is in your future, the MAST head has a thicker deck than a ported GM does. You get what you pay for.

There are a couple of ways (BorexStroke) to get to 427 CI and that will make a difference what heads may work best. You never mentioned how you're getting the cubic inches.

With an LS3 (block I am assuming) it is either 4.065" stock bore and a 4.125" crank, or a 4.07" honed bore and a 4.100" crank.
